We are proud of our history, we are proud of our founder, Axel Wenner-Gren, who, with vision, with charisma, with hard work and with his love for people, made the Lux Group the first truly multinational direct selling company in the world.

Congratulations and our appreciation for a great entrepreneur. A legend in direct selling worldwide. Thank you Axel Wenner-Gren!

We look back at the history of the Lux Group with great respect, and we bow to the performance of more than 250'000 sales consultants and more than 50'000 sales managers who have worked enthusiastically and professionally with the Lux Group all over the world during the past hundred years.

And we also congratulate the more than 20 million customers worldwide who have put their trust in Lux over these past 100 years. Customers who have been excited by the quality of Lux products and of the Lux customer service. Customers who are - quite simply - satisfied with Lux products and services. Thank you, dear Lux customers. Your loyalty and your satisfaction represent a commitment for us: to serve you even better in the future. Let's give a big hand to our millions of Lux customers all over the world.

Products that promote hygiene and good health in our customers' homes.

"Lux for Life" documents for me our lifetime partnership with Lux customers. A partnership that is built on customer service and customer satisfaction. More than 5'000 sales consultants and over 1'000 customer service technicians spend every day satisfying the wishes of our customers. Payments by installments are as much a part of this service as a well functioning delivery service and a convenient after-sales service. Offering outstanding after-sales service and excellent costumer service secures us our business of tomorrow.

"Lux for Life" is for me in particular our recognition of our partnership with our sales consultants in the Lux sales organisations. "Lux for Life" reflects the stories of people who have made more of their lives as a satisfied sales consultant or as a successful sales manager with Lux. In Lux everyone has a real opportunity, women just the same as men. Age does not matter, nor a university degree nor the better relationship with the boss. In Lux, only personal performance counts, and everyone can decide and develop that for himself.

"Lux for Life" is the story of happy people and happy families who have made their lives an integrated part of the Lux success story. For every Lux consultant, his work with Lux is an education for his life, a school of life from the very first day he joins. The first sale, the first experience of selling and even the first sales failure mark our lives forever.

I still have not forgotten my first sales experience. It was not the sale of a Lux vacuum cleaner, it was a product of our respected competitor, Vorwerk. But still, my time as a vacuum cleaner salesman has marked my whole professional career in Direct Selling.

And I am proud that I started my business career as a vacuum cleaner salesman. I love to be a salesman.

We recognise that Lux is part of the world of direct selling, and direct selling means "people businesses". In Lux, we put people first. And we are proud of our Employees and Sales force. It is truly not always a simple task to be a successful Lux sales consultant. You need discipline, competence and a great deal of hard work. I am truly convinced that our Lux sales organisation has the most professional sales consultants and managers in worldwide direct selling.

"Lux for Life" is a declaration of faith that has gone around the world with the Lux Group and is lived out every day in all 35 Lux countries. Lux today builds bridges between continents, religions, cultures, races, colours and between people all over the world. And this multicultural international standing makes us powerful.

But "Lux for Life" also stands for the way in which we work. It stands for our corporate culture, for the quality of our work, for the honesty we bring to our work and the way we treat our sales consultants and our customers.

We in Lux want to achieve a good clean, honest business and not business at any price. As good corporate citizens, we in Lux also want to make our contributions to society and public life.

Let us put our efforts into not simply our daily work, but also into social values - charitable causes or just simply something for our neighbourhood. Let us try to help others, especially when things are going well for us, and to lessen the suffering of those who are not doing as well as us. That's also what our motto "Lux for Life" stands for.
